The Economic Historian welcomes proposals and submissions on all topics related to economic history or the history of economic thought.

Word counts for submissions vary between 1000-2500 words. Authors are encouraged to embed links to sources or use endnotes in their articles (or both). If endnotes are used, citations should be written in Chicago Manual of Style.

Articles should be written in a conversational style that can engage a wide audience. Authors are also encouraged to include pictures or other graphics that can be used as illustrations with their articles. These should be sent within the article or in as separate attachment in the emailed submission.

A brief autobiographical description (25-30 words) should be appended at the end of the article, indicating the author’s institutional affiliation (if any), recent publications, interests, and so on.

Submissions, proposals, or questions can be emailed to jfulfer[at]iu.edu.
